| | | | This is a two day course designed for nurses and health care professionals who are involved in the care of a child receiving Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant. It provides an overview of transplantation for children with both malignant and non-malignant disease. Sources of stem cells, harvesting and processing methods are discussed. Further sessions focus on the preparation and care of the patient before, during and after the transplant, in particular the side effects of transplant therapy.
