| The PICS works with the three partner health services to ensure minimum standards of, and to maximise opportunities for, education and professional development for nursing, medical and allied health staff. The PICS has worked with these services to ensure consistency and accessibility of existing education and training opportunities. In addition, the PICS has placed a strong emphasis on expanding opportunities for regional health professionals as part of the Regional Outreach and Shared Care Program (ROSCP). | The professional development information included on the PICS website is designed to provide paediatric oncology clinicians with a user friendly and up to date portal containing paediatric oncology learning opportunities. It reflects ICS cancer reform strategies to strengthen the quality, consistency and integration of cancer care throughout Victoria. The PICS supports professional development learning opportunities to ensure that all Victorian children and adolescents with cancer and their families have access to high quality, safe and effective clinical and psychosocial care. Professional development courses promote care that is well planned, evidence based and provided in environments that are conducive to healing and coping, as close to home as possible.
